The 14th International Conference on Plant Mitochondrial Biology (ICPMB 2026) was successfully held in Kagoshima, Japan, from May 18 to 22, 2026.

We were delighted to welcome 130 participants and 6 accompanying persons from 22 countries, and we sincerely thank all participants for the many active and meaningful discussions throughout the meeting.

We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Scientific Organizers, the Local Organizing Committee, the student staff members, the staff of Leica Nangoku Hall, Nippon Travel Agency Kagoshima Branch, and The Bay Suite Sakurajima Terrace for their invaluable support and contributions to the conference.

In particular, we are deeply grateful to the two members of Enhal Inc., who closely supported us throughout every stage of the conference, from the initial planning to its successful completion.

We truly hope that all those involved in ICPMB2026 will carry forward the experiences, discussions, and new connections formed during this meeting into their future research and collaborations.
